Web Design

Starting with research and paying close attention to the project at hand, I ask questions and aim for high impact, concise, simple and easy-to-naviage website design; I place a high priority on the target audience and design style.

Illustration

From childrens' illustrations to logos - info graphics to technical illustrations, I have a firm grip on the Adobe design software and a heightened sensibility for aesthetically pleasing design.

Graphic Design

Flyers, brochures, web tile or banner ads, banners, illustrations are just a few of the design areas I excel in. If you're interested in a redesign or starting a new company let's talk about your ideas.

I'm really happy when I can breathe life into and visually communicate someones vision. I have the technical knowledge balanced with a creative innate ability to make your project stand out.


I love combining creativity with technology and using both sides of my brain equally. I'm fascinated by the coding process and the possibilities design software offers. I'm really good at visually interpreting a concept that might otherwise be confusing or difficult to portray with words. My work always starts with understanding the message and style of the client. I can easily adapt to the style I see the client leaning toward; from vintage to minimal -- corporate to grunge, I have an eye and appreciation for every style.

Honorable Mention

Published by Smashing Magazine a tutorial entitled "Illustrator's Live Trace: Sketch to Vector." Link The tutorial was chosen to be published in the Smashing e-book entitled "Mastering Illustrator." Link I am the ongoing Webmaster for ASHERA (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc.) Link I have had technical illustrations published in Insulation Outlook magazine (Feb. 2013 issue) and EverGreen Chill-In Insulation repair manual. I volunteered my services to build a website for The Peace Patch; A non profit organization that builds schoolyard and community gardens providing education and economic opportunity for the community. (built using a WYSIWYG online software for easy client side editing. Link

My Process

First and foremost is a cup of coffee.

After getting a clear idea of what the project involves, I jump right in and create a few mock-ups. I post the mock-ups online for clients to review. I keep lines of communication open and can skype or be available via phone at any time during business hours. I make sure, whatever the medium, that I breathe creative life into ideas and sort through information to highlight the most important details to communicate.
